Dead Cells is an amazingly fun game that throws back to Symphony of the Night in gameplay, and the variety of randomization plus permanent unlocks gives you a wonderful sense of progression despite dying over, and over, and over, and over again.

Mothergunship distills the first person shooter to it’s base and adds a great deal of gun crafting. Take all the shooty bits you find through the levels and build the boomstick of your dreams as you take on the alien horde with the intent to take down the Mothergunship.

Touhou: Genso Wanderer Reloaded is a rerelease of a PS4 roguelike with all DLC included based on the niche Touhou storyline. A new evil afflicts the land, and our hero must battle through randomized dungeons in turn-based grid combat in order to restore the balance.

The game portrays how some of the simplest choices can make the biggest difference in not only our lives, but the lives of those around us and society as a whole.

20XX is a procedurally generated Mega Man rougelite with two player cooperative possibilities. A lot of people are trying to fill the hole in their soul thanks to a missing Mega Man game, but 20XX expands on the gameplay in a way that really makes it it’s own.

Lost in Harmony does it’s best to meld the Endless Runner with Rhythm Action. It’s an upgrade from a two year old mobile title. While some improvements really help gameplay, a few choices hurt the overall feeling of the game. Regardless, it’s still a fun title worth your attention.

Rainbow Skies is an indirect sequel five years in the making to Rainbow Moon. It is a very ambitious title that is not without hiccups. If you can deal with some strange design decisions, you’ll find a fun and addictive title with a light and exciting storyline.

Earth Atlantis came out about a year ago for Switch, and now makes it’s way to PS4 and Xbox One for a new audience. It retains the same solid gameplay from the Switch edition, making it an easy purchase for someone who doesn’t have a Switch. If you have both consoles, though, it would likely be best purchased on the original.

Happy Birthdays is an updated rerelease of the PC/PS4 game Birthdays: The Beginning. There’s not a lot here extra for people who are done with the original title, but the quality of life upgrades make this the definitive edition of the title that people can play anywhere thanks to the portability of the Switch.

Instead, it’s a rehash of the previous game with some bonus VR support and a little bit of tweaking to the base battle system. Bombslinger tries something new with the Bomberman formula by taking it back to the Old West. While it adds a few new things like some unique weaponry, a few glitches and the simplistic startup of a Bomberman title pushed onto a storyline mode make it a little harder to recommend.

Daryl: a normal high schooler in a perfectly normal multidimensional school. This "RPGVania" tasks our hero with making friends, finding textbooks, riding sharks into battle, picking flowers, and overthrowing a giant conspiracy. You know, normal teenage stuff. Super Daryl Deluxe is an interesting mishmash that looks like it was drawn in the edges of a high school notebook. It's witty humor mixed with some interesting leveling skills makes for a fun little downloadable title.

The Alliance Alive is a new title with a lot of old heritage. Coming from a place of love for classic RPGs. A fan of oldschool turn-based combat and strategy will feel right at home, while someone raised on modern RPGs may find a difficult learning curve. Either way, this is a must-play for RPG fans and a wonderful title for the 3DS's twilight years.
