Spectra Review

Spectra provides some classic twitch style retro gaming action that is a perfect fit for the precision gamer, while some of it's minor flaws may deter more traditional gamers. If Spectra's style of gameplay perfectly scratches the itch you have, though, you'll find none better to satisfy the craving.

Ultratron Review

Developer Puppygames shows it's love for classic arcade twitch game play. Much like Titan Attacks before it, Ultratron is a throwback to a classic, this time Robotron. in an ultimate quest for a "kill-em-all" level of revenge, you blast away at aliens until one succumbs to the other. The retro feel of the graphics pull you back to the time when you just needed that one more quarter.

Evolution of a Gamer: Episode 1 (Classic EoG)

Back when I wrote for a site that is no longer with us, I wrote this series, Evolution of a Gamer. With the site now defunct, it has disappeared from the internet. This was one of my favorite series of articles to write, where I teach my kids about video games and learn a little bit about real life myself in the process. I've decided to resurrect the series, because I've still had plenty of life lessons with my kids, but want new readers to be able to catch up. Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting the previous articles to get you up to speed. Without further ado, here's Episode 1, from way back in 2010! We'll catch up soon.

The series is steady enough that you can get plenty of fun out of the original if this is your first chance at playing the games, but which console will be your favorite? Ryan Johnson from The Gamers Lounge got to review both editions, and gives you his opinion of which Nintendo console should be your go-to for this twitch skateboarding game.
