Weekend Ramblings 3/30/14
So rumor has it that next week Target will be having a B2G1 free deal on all new games. Could be a great time to get some of those games you have been eyeing to get you through the slow gaming summer months......or to just pile upon the backlog.
Speaking of backlogs Sony announced April's PS+ games. Batman: Arkham City (PS3), Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (PS3), Mercenary Kings (PS4), (Launches April 1st), PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate HD (Vita), Stealth Inc.: A Clone in the Dark (Vita), Velocity Ultra (Vita). This months is a really great lineup. Really excited for Mercenary Kings, looks great.
There is also a rumor that the Games with Gold will be Hitman: Absolution. If it true this a great game that was free for PS+ members some time back and could set up 360 gold member with two really good games. I also hear that in June Microsoft may start offering XB1 games in the program as well.
Excited to hear about Assassins Creed: Unity for PS4, XB1 and PC this fall. I also hear that the 360, PS3 only Assassins Creed: Comet (Codename) will be set in New York and will be told from the Templar side of things. It stars Shay, a sailor who is a Templar and it may also have Adewale (ACIV) and Haytham Kenway (AC3) and will have some time in with Unity. Looks like I'll have full fall/winter of Assassins Creed this year.
The Last of Us is rumored to be heading to the PS4 with a HD makeover and all the DLC included. I bought this one on the PS3 and never finished it. Maybe I'll pick it up on the PS4 to see the differences and finish the game. As much as I like post apocalyptic, story driven games, I found myself getting bored with the game. I really feel, while a good game, it has been over praised with all the GOTY awards and being called a masterpiece. But I'll trying getting back into again and see if my feelings have changed,
Well, I think that is enough for this week. If you enjoy more talk like this but with three guys be sure to check out The Gamers Lounge Podcast every week on iTunes and Stitcher Radio. Until next week!
