RYAN JOHNSON
West of Dead (Xbox One) Review
West of Dead is a cover-based twin-stick shooter roguelike that feels like a 3D western shooter themed Dead Cells. Ron Perlman’s voice adds a gritty side to the story that sounds like a grizzled bandit telling his story whilst mulling over a whisky and talking to the old bartender on his way to the afterlife.
Aperion Cyberstorm Review
Aperion Cyberstorm is a retro twin-stick shooter with a major multiplayer twist, allowing up to five people to play through a campaign, horde-style mode, or versus. The multiplayer is both a pro and a con. It makes solo feel empty, but getting a full crew together makes the game feel so very right.
Demon's Crystals Review
Demon's Crystals is a "Get What You Pay For" kind of game. At $4.99, you find yourself the owner of a fun, quick, twin-stick shooter. That's it. You may find a terribly light story or some strange translation choices, but in the end, Demon's Crystals is a good $5 time waster, and even more fun if you have four local friends and controllers to get into the many multiplayer modes.
