Wingman XB is a fun gaming accessory that lets gamers use other controllers or devices with their 360, Xbox One, PC, Original Xbox, Xbox Series S/X. This includes the Taiko Drum controller! The Gamers Lounge has spent some time with the Wingman XB and has some good things to say.

Brook Gaming makes a number of products to convert controllers or arcade sticks or racing wheels to other consoles. I knew they were known for their adapters for retro consoles, who doesn't want to use a ps3 controller on a PS1? The Wingman XB has a simple design with a usb connection, one end for the wired controller and the other end for a 360/Xbox One/etc. For a wired controller, you can just plug in and away you go. To use it with the Original Xbox you will need a usb adapter.

Anyways, on my Series S I tested a Dualshock 3 PS3 controller, a wireless Switch Pro and a wireless Nyko Pro controller and a 360 wired controller. Results were fantastic, the setup was quick and easy, there are options to remap buttons and use turbo. The wired controller setup was under 1 min. I tested the different controllers with some gunslinging with Weird West and racing in Forza Horizon 5. The 360 and PS3 controllers felt great with no issues and the PS3 controller’s wireless setup was a breeze thanks to the helpful manual, all the buttons and sticks were snappy with zero latency. I may try a fighting game later just to see how it handles.

The Switch Pro controller was also easy to use, but the Nyko one I had issues getting it to sync with the adapter when trying to use it wirelessly. I also tested the adapter on my PC and that worked flawlessly without any issues for the controllers. Overall I am very impressed, the product works as it should. I also want to try some 8bitdo controllers and my PS3 Hori arcade stick. A full list of what's compatible is here https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/59327520/. Wingman is available on Amazon
