Garage Sales Finds Week of April 25th
Welcome to another installment of my Garage Sale Adventures. I didn't post the last few weeks since I was busy or didn't find anything. But I did hit one sale this weekend And picked up a few games for $10.
I went to a sale on Friday, which is odd since I normally don’t go to Friday sales. There was a sale advertised on Craiglist that listed Nintendo and Xbox games. I thought that sounded like a winner.
When I arrived at the sale, I saw a huge box of assorted games on a table. The guy wanted $3 each. There were a few SNES games, Street Fighter II and Caesars Palace. I already have Street Fighter II. There were a few shovelware Wii and 360 games. A sealed DJ Hero 2 for PS3 and several cart only N64 games. The N64 games were in sad shape and included some okay titles: Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M, Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness, Cruis'n USA and a few other games. I grabbed Battlezone for N64.
There was also a stack of PS1 games. Most of the PS1 games were common ones. I did pick out a Legend of Legaia which was complete. I snagged a copy of Gran Turismo 2, and a disc only copy of Digimon World. I passed on copies of Tomb Raider and a disk only copy of Crash Bandicoot 2. Looking back I should have grabbed those for trade fodder. I did grab the complete copy of Crash Team Racing.
The plan for these games is probably trade fodder, either to 99gamers or to the local Mom and Pop Store. I‘ll probably hang onto Digimon World and see if I can find the case and manual to make it complete. I’ll be out again next week and after that I'm busy mid May. Once June comes, I’ll be headed to the mother of all sales and I should start finding more stuff.
