The Best Black Friday Deals for Gamers
The Gamer’s Lounge Crew has put together a list of what they are hoping to pick up for Black Friday. Along the way, they are mentioning the “must buy” deals for video games on Black Friday, as well as which store has the best deal for consoles or the new AAA games.

Black Friday, the day where I can either battle the crowds in physical locations or shop online. I am looking forward to some great deals this year. Some of the best deals are going to be found at Walmart. They have many AAA games for reduced prices. I'll be trying to get Diablo III for PS4, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition for PS4, Assassin's Creed Rouge for PS3 for $25 and possibly Dark Souls 2 for PS3 for $15. If you are one of the gamers waiting to get a 360, Target has the 4GB with Kinect for $180 and Walmart has the 4GB and no Kinect for $100
Best Buy and Target have similar prices on games. If you are a shopper looking for the next gen consoles, most stores have the PS4 bundle with Last of Us and GTAV for $399. Walmart is throwing in a $50 gift card with their deal of $399 for the PS4 bundle. Target has a great Xbox One deal: a $330 Xbox One AC Unity Bundle with a $50 gift card. Walmart has a decent deal, as well: Xbox One with the Halo Collection for $330 with a $30 gift card. Unfortunately, this deal is only available between 6pm-7pm on Thanksgiving.
Want a Wii U? It looks like Best Buy will have the 32 gb console with Mario, NintendoLand, SSB and Donkey Kong for $359.97. Live on the West Coast? Fred Meyer has the best Wii U deal, a 32GB Wii U with Super Mario 3D World and NintendoLand for $249. The Gamestop ad has been released and it is a disappointment. Most of the games on sale are cheaper other places.

This Black Friday (or should it be Thursday now?) seems to be the time to buy an Xbox One. Most stores will sell them for $329.99, taking an additional $20 off the bundle, in addition to offering a gift card. Target will be offering the Assassins Creed Unity XB1 bundle with a $50 gift card and Walmart has the Halo Collection XB1 bundle with a $30 gift card. While the Target gift card is nice (and if you have a red card it is about $16 cheaper, due to the extra 5% off) I think the Walmart deal might be better, offering the entire Halo collection. That’s 4 games in full HD with much extra online gameplay. While I am a huge Assassin’s Creed fan, I already have the game on PS4 and due to issues with the game (yes, I know Halo has them too) this could turn off some new console owners.
As far as games, if your backlog isn't full enough, there are many deals with great prices ranging from $15 to $40 on some of the best titles of the past year. Picking up that XB1? Grab Forza 5 for $25 at Walmart. If you have a PS4, you can obtain Shadow of Mordor for $25. All the box stores have over 40 different titles, so check the ads or online to see who has what for the best deal and plan accordingly. I personally want to purchase AC:Rogue at Walmart for $25 and if I was to land an XB1, I would get Forza 5, as well.
GameStop’s ad has leaked and to be honest it’s a joke. All the other stores out there have better deals for the same products. They are having their usual B2G1 free on preowned, but for the most part, I see no reason to go to GameStop at all. The one deal that interests me the most is Tales of Xillia 2 for $20 and I feel sure Amazon will match that price. One thing that I am shocked about is that no one has any deals on PS+ or Live Gold year cards.

It looks like GameStop’s Black Friday ad has been released and it doesn't look like there is anything that will blow anyone away. They are offering similar deals as other stores, such as an Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundle for $329 ($429 with Kinect) and a $399 PS4 bundle including copies of GTA V and The Last of Us Remastered. They are also offering the Nintendo 3DS XL Mario Party Island Bundle, as other stores are, for $179. Game deals appear to be on par with other stores as well, ranging from $15 to $50 on some really good titles. PS Vita owners may want to stop by GameStop and grab a 16GB Memory Card for $20 (50% off). If you are able to find some pre-owned games for under $20 that you want, they are offering buy 2, get 1 free on any used games and accessories under $20.
Here is what The Gamer’s Lounge has picked for some of the best deals. Whether you stay in or go out and brave the crowds there are some decent deals to be found. Here are some links to some of the ads, Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, Walmart, and Fred Meyer.
