Garage Sale Finds March of 2016
Welcome back to the column where The Gamers Lounge discusses garage sale finds. This year has started off early. Here and the finds for the month of March 2016.
The first weekend I attempted to go out was March 5th. I found one sale with Wii games. I went and the guy had a Wii with 2 controls, all hookups, a Wii fit board and a few games for $60. He also had a few PS2 games. I picked up a $1 copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for PS2. The Wii was pretty dirty. I grabbed Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario Kart, and MX vs ATV. I already had controllers so I talked him down to $40.
When I left the sale, I realized that another copy of Mario Kart was in the case of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. I also stopped by a sale that was close to my house. The lady running the sale had a PS2 with a network adapter, and a Wii with no games but it had the cables. She wanted $20, I talked her down to $15 for both. This Wii was in much better shape. Both of the Wii’s worked when I tested them, the first Wii had a copy of Mario Sluggers in the drive.
The next weekend I went out was March 25th. I went to one sale that had Xbox games listed. There wasn’t any Xbox games, instead there was Wii games and PC games. I got Big Brain Academy, Endless Ocean, Pinball Hall of Fame, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Sports, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, and a sealed copy of Civilization III complete for $15.
This was not too terrible for an early start to the season. I will keep you everyone posted. So far, Wii's seem to be the hot item this season. I hope I find more retro games this year.
