Best of the pre-order bonuses for March
March traditionally means one thing to gamers, new AAA games are coming. March 2014 has quite a few great releases. Three of the biggest releases are Titanfall, inFAMOUS Second Son, and South Park: The Stick of Truth. To a lesser degree, some gamers will be pumped for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. The good news is there is still time to pre-order and the Gamer’s Lounge has broken down the best pre-orders for these games.
Let’s start by looking at what Gamestop is offering for pre-orders for some of these games. If gamers pre-order inFAMOUS Second Son they get upgraded to the limited edition which comes with additional character vests and an exclusive download called Cole's Legacy which explains the events between inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS Second Son. Gamers will also get 500 Sony Reward Points for pre-ordering Second Son through Gamestop.
South Park: The Stick of Truth's pre-order from Gamestop and gamers will get the Stick of Truth fellowship pack which gives you new costumes with perks. Gamestop will also throw in the Super Spaceman Samurai Pack which also has perks for more damage. For Titanfall, Gamestop is offering a poster. If gamers pre-order Metal Gear Solid V they will receive no pre-order bonuses and all pre-orders of Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z comes with a new costume. Dark Souls II is another big release, and Gamestop is offering nothing for pre-ordering from them.
Amazon has better offers, for the right version of Titanfall gamers will get the mini guide and the $5 digital games credit. Amazon also as the Titanfall console which has the Xbox One and a digital version of the game for $500. If gamers pre-order South Park: The Stick of Truth from Amazon, and gamers will get the same costume pack as offered by Gamestop. Pre-ordering Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z from Amazon is a good idea. Gamers will get a soundtrack, a free comic book, and a costume. If I was more interested in the game I would be pre-ordering from there.
inFAMOUS: Second Son on Amazon has the same pre-order bonus offers as Gamestop has, a pack of vests. Metal Gear Solid V has no pre-order bonuses at Amazon either and it may be because its going to be released at $30. Dark Souls II has some of the better pre-order bonuses for all of March. If gamers pre-order from Amazon, the get a steelbook, soundtrack, and the Black Armor Weapons Pack which has five weapons and shield.
The Gamer’s Lounge looked at retailers such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart and most of the pre-order bonuses were similar. Newegg does have the $10 GC with the pre-order of Titanfall so there is another option besides Amazon/Gamestop. Most of the pre-order bonuses are the same for multiple stores, Amazon has better offers on Dark Souls II, and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. While Gamestop has inFAMOUS Second Son covered.
